May 26, 2012, 5:00 PM: — After snacks and meeting with DZMM peeps, I decided to leave earlier than planned for PBB ME dinner at Greenbelt 3. We were supposed to visit PBB Uber 2012 LIVE but their staff texted Sir Ambet that the show was preempted by the Corona drama.

We were talking about @gretchenfullido while waiting for @ambetnabus’ ride at ABS-CBN lobby then, surprisingly, she arrived from Walang Hanggan set!

UP Oblation

Things every UP student/alumni should know about the Oblation:

1.  Guillermo Tolentino, National Artist for Sculpture, designed the Oblation.

2.  the models were Anastacio Caedo (Tolentino’s apprentice) for physique (Caedo was an amateur body-builder) and Caedo’s brother-in-law, Virgilio Raymundo, for height and proportion. Fernando Poe, Sr. was NOT the model for the Oblation

3.  It was commissioned by U.P. President Rafael Palma and was unveiled in 1935 in UP Manila.

4.The original statue is now at the University Archives.
